Always remember you are a guest in their country, and you should respect that, some countries do have some traditions that you may think are wrong but that is your opinion, but it is their country.
In some countries you may have to register your residency and produce documents, some times they may want to see original documents, but it could be good manners to have a photocopied set that you can leave with them.
For instance in some Buddhist countries it is very bad manners to touch someone on the head, and in some religious buildings both men and women have to cover their legs. You will receive more respect if you try to learn some of their language even if it is only please, thank you, hello and goodbye.
In some countries it is wise to join the state health system, and in some countries it is compulsory. Remember don't think like a tourist, and the locals will not treat you like one. Please prepare for your time of living overseas, and enjoy your time there.
